What are LEDs?

LED

LED stands for Light Emitting Diode. Unlike incandescent bulbs, LEDs are made up of a material called a semiconductor. When an electrical current is passed through this solid material, its individual atoms become excited and release energy in the form of light. This makes LED an extremely efficient form of lighting without the inherent weaknesses of traditional bulbs. LEDs will typically last for 50,000 + working hours

Environmental Impact

As we become more aware of our impact on our environment, many of us are taking steps to ensure we do everything possible to protect our natural resources. LED lights are the most environmentally friendly lighting options available and have many benefits from low power consumption, no heat, solid, durable, low energy & savings. LEDs are better for the environment, contributing less to climate change.

How do I charge my product?

Place charging plate under the base of the product, it has a magnet in the plate so it will stay attached to the product. Plug adaptor into a power socket.

First Time Charging

It will take longer to charge your product for the first time. Please charge your product for at least 8 hours; depending on the size of your product the time may vary. A red light appears on the product when it is charging. The product is fully charged when the product changes to a colour (normally blue); or when the red light goes off. Please Note: If charging in a daylight room it is very difficult to see the red light, however if you move the product to a darker room you will see the red light.

Future Charging

Charging will take between 3-6 hours depending on your product. The smaller products will take less time eg. LED Balls, compared to the LED Bar Stools which will take a lot longer. 

How do I use my product?

Remote Control

Remove plastic card from top. Point your remote at the product. Push ON button, then push any colour your desire. The remotes work using infrared technology (exactly the same as your TV remote), which means that the remote must have a clear 'line of sight' to the product in order for the signal to be received. 

Without Remote

Underneath the product on the base unit, there are two buttons. Push the right button to turn on your product. Push the left button to change the colour. 

How does the Lithium battery work?

The LED products use a Lithium battery which is a similar battery used inside iPhones & iPads.

The following 3 key points to remember when using these LED products to protect your Lithium battery:

  • If you have fully charged your product and don’t use the product for 3-5 days, the battery will slowly discharge itself automatically. Note: You will need to charge your battery before you want to use it.
  • Don’t leave the LED product in extreme temperatures or working in a high temperature environment eg. in-front of a fire, as this could slowly damage the battery.
  • Try not to leave your LED product unused with no battery life for a long period of time (eg. months) as it could damage the battery.

When can I expect my order to arrive?

We use a Courier Post service for New Zealand orders. Deliveries usually take between 1-5 working days, but please allow an extra day for larger parcels to reach the South Island and for rural deliveries.

How much does shipping cost?

To ensure you always pay a fair price for delivery you will be presented with exact shipping rates in the checkout, based upon the items you order and your delivery address.

What is your cancellation policy?

With the exception of updating your credit card details you will need to contact us if you wish to cancel or modify an order. We will happily cancel your order before it has been dispatched, although we are unable to cancel orders that have already been dispatched from our warehouse.

What is your refund/returns policy?

Returns

Our policy lasts 30 days. If 30 days have gone by since your purchase, unfortunately we can’t offer you a refund or exchange.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging.

To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase.

Refunds (if applicable)

Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.
If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within a certain amount of days.

Late or missing refunds (if applicable)

If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again.
Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted.
Next contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.

Sale items (if applicable)

Only regular priced items may be refunded, unfortunately sale items cannot be refunded.

Exchanges (if applicable)

We only replace items if they are defective or damaged. If you need to exchange your chosen item please send us an email at info@fireballs.co.nz. We cannot guarantee an exchange will be possible in all cases.

Shipping

Please contact us at info@fireballs.co.nz for the return address.

You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund.

Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you, may vary.

If you are shipping an item over $75, you should consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item.
